The house at the centre of this project commands fantastic views from a hillside above the beautiful Dee Valley. The project sought to make full use of this natural eature by providing a new open plan kitchen/dining room area, a utility room and a lounge with patio doors opening onto a full length balcony overlooking the valley.

The initial work involved removal of existing structures and major structural work to provide the open plan feel for the new kitchen/dining area. A chimney breast and wall were removed to create the new space, it was here that major structural work was required. This entailed working closely with the building control officer and the structural engineer.

A new single storey extension was built onto the rear of the house opening into the remodelled kitchen/dining area to provide the lounge and the separate utility room. The kitchen and utility room designs were developed with the clients prior to fitting. To the exterior, a new timber balcony was built with steps to allow access to the garden and to enjoy the views. A further additional feature within the existing house was the provision of a downstairs cloakroom making good use of some under stair space.

Our brief here was to convert an existing kitchen and dining room into a larger open plan area, including a sitting area, opening out onto the garden via patio doors.

Initially structural work was required to allow the removal of walls to achieve the open plan feel that was so important to the clients. A single storey brick built extension with vaulted ceilings was built onto the existing kitchen area to provide the sitting area. A key feature of the project was a

the bespoke kitchen. We introduced the clients to a local company who provide such a service and liaised with the clients and the kitchen fitters at all stages of the design and installation process. A new pantry area was created by remodelling the existing layout.

The aim of this project was to provide additional dining/family space, a new kitchen, and a new bedroom with en-suite facilities. The new kitchen, dining/family area is fitted with patio doors to allow the outside space adjacent to the house to be used fully. The new brickwork was carefully matched to the existing masonry.

We firstly removed a conservatory built onto the existing kitchen which was housed in a single storey extension to the main house. The existing kitchen roof was removed from the kitchen and all fixtures and services were removed. We then constructed an extra storey above the old kitchen to house the new bedroom. An existing small bedroom in the main house was converted into the en-suite facility. At ground floor level a new single storey extension with vaulted ceilings was built to house the dining/family area. New openings were created into the main house at ground and first floor levels and some existing unwanted doorways were blocked up. The plumbing and electrical services were extended and where necessary upgraded to comply with regulations.

At all stages of the project we liaised closely with the clients to ensure they were involved in the decision making and selection of layout and specifications.

This project was a full chapel conversion, into a two bedroom dwelling. This involved completely removing the roof, fitting new timbers and re-slating over a thermal blanket to achieve the u values needed to comply with building regulations. In this project we worked closely with the architects, structural engineer and most importantly the customer to create the home to suit their needs.

We were approached by this customer who required an office to work from home and did not have the space within their house for an office. We designed and built this home office from scratch to the customer's requirements. The building was built from locally grown timber, is fully insulated so it can be used all year round and has electric and phone/internet points. So if you are looking to work from home but don't want to lose a room then give us a call and let us design and build an office space to your requirements.

Station Road, Trevor Station Road, Trevor

This was a double story extension to add two extra bedrooms one with an en suite bathroom and to make a good sized family kitchen and garage. This was a very good job for us to work on with good site access from the road for deliveries and skips. We managed to get a very good match of facing bricks and with the top half rendered and pebble dashed the job looks great. The large single garage with Edwardian style up and over garage door adds both value and creates addition secure storage. We re-jigged the downstairs area to give a much larger modern high gloss finish family kitchen with underfloor heating. And we will give women online. There in now an additional down stairs toilet and a new staircase gives a much more open feeling to the house. On the first floor the two new bedrooms are spacious and with the master being en suite they are a good value addition

Complete refurbishment with a single story extension to side to accommodate a new kitchen. Due to the space available and site position the extension was a challenging project. Firstly a large amount of earth was excavated to allow for the footprint of the build. Retaining walls were required to retain the earth that surrounded the proposed site, we used the retaining walls as the external walls to optimise the internal size of the extension. Structural calculations where required to satisfy building control and a tanking system was used to prevent damp. Once the walls had been built up to roof level we tackled the next issue of the roof. The customer wanted a slate roof to match the existing house. Due to the very shallow pitch of the roof this was not possible with a normal natural slate, we did some research and found a man made roof tile with a clip system that can be used on shallow pitched roofs. Internally the the extension comprised of a wet room, utility room and kitchen. The kitchen is a solid oak kitchen with granite work surfaces, there is a large glass front to the extension the looks on the garden and magnificent views beyond.
